Mt. Graham Golf Course is a traditional 18-hole par 72 course that is walker friendly. The course plays par 72 and 6354 yards for men with a rating of 69.5 and a slope of 116 and par 73 and 5691 yards for women with a rating of 70.6 and a slope of 119. The courses water and sand provide a good challenge for the average golfer. There is a grass driving range with short game practice areas. Range balls are available at reasonable rates. There are active women and men golf associations. The course hosts several inventorial tournaments each year including an annual Southwest Sectional PGA pro-am. The course is the home for Safford and Thatcher High Schools and the Eastern Arizona College. The course is available for group outings and tournaments.
